Craft time

Some days just take me back. I went with the kids to Michael's crafts and Samuel picked out the old peg and wax bead craft. I used to love doing these as a little girl, but I thought Samuel a little too young. Well, he proved me wrong on that! He concentrated on it for about half an hour, making sure to pick out all the right colors and make a good design. I was so proud of him. I guess it's the little things that make a Mommy smile!

Party!!!

Allegra's 1st Birthday Party was a success. Wow! We had such beautiful weather. We also had a crowd of wonderful friends to celebrate Allegra's first year. All the kids (about 15) had a great time pulverizing a pinata (though Lucian was sad to part with his friend), Allegra loved all her girly gifts, and the cake was yummy! Pigtails!!!

Yesterday was a mile marker for Allegra, at least in my opinion. Some moms get excited about crawling or walking or even baby's first word. Me? I was ecstatic that I got Alle's wispy locks into a couple of rubber bands! This morning I repeated the piggy's for church...too bad she pulled them out before we got there, lol.

Pictures definitely speak louder than words.....

Currently we have about 8 feet of mud surrounding the house. But... after the last rainstorm on Monday - no water in the basement! 

No Picture...no mac

Well, I won't blame you if you skip over this blog. Whenever I see a blog without a picture, it's just not as inticing to read (of course, I don't mean yours, Pastor Flattery!) Anyway, there is no picture because I'm not writing this from my computer...because my computer is fried! That isn't supposed to happen to macs right? Argh. Anyway, hopefully it will be back up in time for me to have some pictures of Allegra's upcoming birthday and the end of summer.

Things are certainly feeling like autumn around here: back in school (some fun preschool stuff and beginning kindergarten with the boys) and church activities back in full swing, also I'll be teaching ballet Thursday nights and Saturday mornings next week, AND we are starting Life Groups at church (Scott and I are leaders). All this is so exciting!

I was journaling yesterday, just how amazed I am that God has brought us into a season of ministry after feeling rather undercover or perhaps better put, overwhelmed, the last few years just dealing with all the crazy wonderful aspects of having little bitty ones. Truly, our life is full to the brim and I'm overflowing (most days) with joy.

Except of course for this dead mac thing.
