Allegra is nine months! This is an odd time when I always think, she has been out in the world as long as she was inside of me. And it is all go, go, go from here. In the last three days she has stood by herself (in the high chair!), clapped her hands saying "dadadadada", and climbed up four stairs behind my back (literally). Yesterday, I looked at her legs dangling off my lap and realized, she isn't a baby anymore....she's a toddler. How fast was that!?
So I'm a little melancholy today. But of course it is also such a huge priviledge to be able to witness the maturing of an individual. To witness each phase of my children as they get bigger, faster, stronger. And not only physically, but mentally and emotionally.
It is a big week here: Alle is on two feet, Lucian is in underwear for the first time (a milestone that only makes me smile -after pulling my hair out that is :), and Samuel is at his first VBS day camp!
Samuel was playing in the sprinkler yesterday afternoon and started talking to himself, not too unusual, and then said out loud..."That's my verse for today MOMMY!"

"What is, sweetie?"
"I am last, I am first, there is no God but me."
"WOW!!!!"
So, we have to teach him chronology...but the idea is right. And he thought about it enough at camp to think about it on his own later. I love it!
